COVID-19 Update – Our guests’ safety is our top priority. We carefully follow government travel guidelines, and have a strict and comprehensive set of safety protocols in place.

Travel with Confidence

The safety of DVT guests and staff is top priority. Discover Vancouver Tours (DVT) adhere to all government travel guidelines, and have a strict and comprehensive set of safety and sanitization protocols in place.

Latest Health Advisories:

As of April 8, 2022 there is no BC Provincial Health Officer order requiring events, services or businesses to check proof of vaccination. Wearing a mask is now a personal choice. Masks are encouraged on public transit and BC Ferries, but not required. Individual businesses and event organizers can choose to continue requiring masks on their premises. It’s important that we respect the choices of people, businesses and one another.

With travel restrictions being lifted, Discover Vancouver Tours is committed to ensuring that the safety of all our guests, in addition to the communities we visit, is our top priority. We have implemented a comprehensive set of safety protocols that take place on every one of our tours as follows:

1. Pre-Tour Precautions

Before departing on any tour, we will be taking a number of precautions before guests are allowed to board the bus. We will be doing a contactless check-in process if required. Details of the exact check-in process will be given to you on the day of your departure. On the date of the tour, all guests will be required to sign a screening and consent form regarding your current health conditions. Suppose you or anyone in your group is experiencing symptoms. In that case, we will work directly with you to cancel or reschedule your tour.

2. On-Tour Precautions

We take many precautions during the tour. Although the use of masks is no longer a requirement we strongly recommend for our guests to wear cloth or non-surgical face masks for the tour duration while on the bus or when it is impossible to maintain distance. There is ample hand sanitizer available on all our coaches. We encourage all our guests to regularly use this sanitizer, especially after boarding the bus after visiting an attraction. We will be sanitizing the coaches daily by wiping down all contact surfaces.

We encourage all guests to partake in keeping themselves and others safe. If you need to sneeze or cough, please do so into your elbow, wash your hands regularly, use hand sanitizer after visiting an attraction, keep your distance from other guests, at least 6 feet, and most importantly respect others.

3. Respecting and Supporting Host Communities

In addition to all our guests’ safety, the residents’ safety in the communities we visit is paramount. We expect all of our guests to adhere to the policies in each community we visit.

It is also of utmost importance for us to support the local business in the communities we visit. We ensure that we work with local suppliers to support them in all the destinations we visit to support them and grow their business. Help us to help other local businesses.

The local businesses that we recommend for you to visit have safety protocols in place themselves.

4. Our Staff

Employees receive daily wellness checks as well as perform regular self-assessments to ensure they are healthy and symptom-free.

5. Activities and Inclusions

Due to the unprecedented times, certain activities or inclusions may be cancelled. We will attempt to substitute any cancelled experiences, but it will be based on supplier and provincial recommendations. Please contact us if you would like to know if certain activities are available on the departure day you wish to book. You can call us on +1(604) 689-8128 or email us at info@discovercanadatours.com.

All of our suppliers have their own safety protocols in place, and we can, at the time of booking, direct you to their documentation for peace of mind.

As we have said, the safety and wellbeing of our guests are paramount. We look forward to seeing you on one of our tours soon.
