Canada Place & Jack Poole Plaza
Start your journey today with a stop at two iconic landmarks situated side by side along Vancouver’s waterfront. Canada Place resembles a sailing ship, and it serves as both a symbol of Canadian pride and a hub for tourism and events. Jack Poole Plaza, named after the visionary behind the 2010 Winter Olympics bid, features stunning views of the harbor and mountains, making it a popular gathering spot. Here you will see the Olympic Torch, which was lit during the 2010 Winter Olympics, and represents the four host First Nations of the games. The entire area stands as a testament to Vancouver’s cultural vibrancy.
Stanley Park - Brockton Point & Prospect Point
Visit Stanley Park, one of Vancouver’s premier attractions and a stunning coastal rainforest filled with diverse plants and towering trees. Surrounded by mountain views and the city skyline, the park offers an incredible natural escape. Explore the First Nations Totem Poles at Brockton Point, showcasing intricate carvings from various Indigenous Nations, with some poles dating back to the 1880s. You’ll also have the option to take a short guided tour through Brockton Point and along the seawall. Next, stop at Prospect Point Lookout for stunning views of Lions Gate Bridge and the North Shore Mountains.
West End & English Bay
Drive away from Stanley Park and into the city’s urban area. The West End offers a captivating blend of urban living and natural beauty. As Vancouver’s trendiest neighbourhood, it has a vibrant and diverse community and a lively atmosphere. English Bay, also called First Beach, is known for its sandy beach and breathtaking sunsets. This is where the annual Polar Bear Swim takes place every New Year’s Day since 1920, where brave participants take a cold plunge into the water.
False Creek & Gastown
Continue your bus tour through False Creek and Gastown. The first neighbourhood has a unique landscape, offering stunning views of the city in all directions, and is home to the famous Science World building, a geodesic dome constructed for Expo 86, and repurposed as a science center. Gastown, on the other hand, is Vancouver’s oldest district, featuring the famous steamclock and cobblestone streets, offering a journey into the past that contrasts with the city’s modern glass buildings.
Vancouver Lookout
This distinguishable 168-meter landmark tower offers unmatched views of the city of Vancouver. From the top, you’ll get a look at Vancouver’s stunning blend of nature and cityscape, from the downtown skyline to the North Shore Mountains, and even the sparkling Pacific Ocean. It’s a quick, glass-elevator ride up, and once there, you can soak in the sights, snap some great photos, and get a true feel for the layout of our beautiful coastal city.
Granville Island
Cross the bridge onto Granville Island. Situated in the heart of the city, this little peninsula is home to a quaint public market featuring fresh produce, artisanal foods, and unique crafts. Have free time to stroll through the area’s lively streets, explore the galleries and shops, and find the perfect lunch spot. This must-visit destination for both locals and tourists will be the last stop of your tour. Then, you will be dropped off at the same spot you were picked up from at the beginning.
